If you're like me, you're a HUGE fan of Jeff and Joanna Gaines who made Fixer Upper a common household conversation and Farmhouse Decor what it is today... well, Stampin' Up!® has hit the nail on the head for farmhouse style with two incredible Suites in the new 2018 Holiday Catalog. The items are unbelievable and will be a "MUST" in your decorating for the upcoming 2018 holiday seasons, if not year round!
This card features two of the items from the Festive Farmhouse Suite along with the color scheme! So grab you a cup of coffee to enjoy while your creative juices start flowing with what you can create yourself with these items!
With fall just around the corner, would a card like this just about make any one smile? I think so...
I started by stamping the Buffalo Check (click here for tips I've learned with using this awesome stamp) with Garden Green onto Whisper White. Next I ran it through the Big Shot with the medium framelit and saved the scrap for another card. The leaf thinlits were ran through the Big Shot using Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler as my choices for fall colors. The diecuts were attached to the back of the Buffalo Check diecut with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
To add some interest to the card, a Vellum diecut was added as a backdrop to the main focal point. The sentiment stamped in Cherry Cobbler was selected purposefully for its width knowing it would make a perfect banner. The banner tails were clipped with Paper Snips. For some more texture the 5/8" Striped Burlap Ribbon was attached with Tear & Tape Adhesive and fishtailed with Paper Snips. Two leaf diecuts were attached to the back of the banner with Snail Adhesive. The banner was attached to the Buffalo Check diecut with the side edges from of the Stampin' Dimensionals (NOTE: every inch of the dimensional sheets are great to use so don't throw out the sheets when there are no dimensionals left! I just snip the sides off and toss the centers... **smile**).
Since the card front needed something else, wanted to add another layer for interest. I thought about adding the Galvanized Metallic Paper I mentioned earlier, but decided against if for simplicity's sake. So I ran a piece of 4.25" x 5.5" cardstock through the Big Shot with the Corrugated DTIEF and viola! Just the right touch.
In keeping with the fall theme, the inside was randomly stamped with the falling leaves stamp from in Garden Green onto Whisper White cardstock. The layer was adhered with Snail Adhesive.
I hope today's card has you looking forward to the new 2018 Holiday Catalog and being able to see it for yourself if you haven't been able to look at it, yet. Remember that there's nothing like being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator as we not only get discounts on the products, we get previews and access to the new products way before customers do!
Thanks for hopping by my little corner of the world!
Have a blessed day!
The framelits are from the Stitched Seasons thinlits that coordinate with the Blended Seasons stamp set. I used two largest of the three matching framelits for this card. Did you notice the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Imperssions Embossing Folder and the 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim?!? Now picture these with something that's not in this picture... Galvanized Metallic Paper!!!! Oh yes, be still my beating heart! **swoon** You'll just have to keep dropping by to see what I create with that won't you?!?
