Wishing You All the Best as you Color Your Season

As you know, I am in LOVE with this exclusive stamp set that is currently available to demonstrators and available to customers during August, but only while supplies last.  This card uses the positive image from the negative image that I used in the my last blog post.  Isn't it amazing how both pieces have the stitching details?!?  **swoon**

This card features the colored image when I had my "a-ha" moment for finding the perfect color of green on the leaves that I was going for.  I had some bleeding in the coloring (which you can spot in the above picture) so the cutout was used as a cover-up!

I used my fine tip Aqua Painter and applied it to the Crushed Curry pencil for the flowers.  The leaves were colored in the same fashion - first with the Night of Navy pencil and then blended with the Garden Green pencil.  I'm so thankful that this third attempt with coloring the leaves achieved the colors I wanted.  :)

The original image was stamped with Gray Granite onto Shimmery White cardstock, but was also stamped with Versa Mark onto the Daffodil Delight stitched cutout and cardbase.  The Shimmery White cardstock was adhered to the Garden Green cardstock with liquid adhesive.  The cardstock was flipped over and burnished with the bone folder several times all the way around to make sure that the watercolored Shimmery White cardstock was lying flat.

To add some interest to the front, I snipped the Burlap Ribbon to smaller widths to create the edge trim.  I love doing this!  The burlap was adhered to the card using Tear & Tape Adhesive which I also trimmed down to a narrower width.  Next, I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green onto a piece of scrap Shimmery White using the Stamparatus for a clear image.  Snail adhesive was adhered to the center of the cutout where I used a one strand from the Burlap Ribbon and twisted it several times before applying a tad of liquid glue followed by the sentiment.  Basic Pearls were added to the flower centers before Stampin' Dimensionals were added to the back to elevate this layer onto the card base.

I absolutely love these Color Your Seasons products that are currently available to demonstrators and available to customers in less than two weeks!  It is such a versatile set and will get a lot of year-round use!

Have a blessed day!
